Rifle - .223 or .308

Sidearm - Any common caliber such as 9mm, .40 S&W, .45ACP, etc.

Aummunition - 300 rounds on person, 1500 rounds available. 5 clips on hand for your sidearm.

Cap

Knife - A fixed blade at least 5" in length without getting unrealistic.

BDU - Whatever matches your enviroment in color & climate.

Field Jacket - Recommended high quality, something like the USGI M65 with Gortex.

Gloves with liner

Under clothing

Compact Binoculars

Flashlight - Any style, not too large, with different colored lenses.

Compass - Should be a good reliable military style unit.

First Aid Kit - Should contain enough to handle most any medical situation that can be tended to in the field.

Sawback Machete

Canteen - Should have at least two 1 quart containers.

Water Filtration Tablets

Steel Chow Kit

Shovel - Solid strong folding compact style.

Insect Repellent

Magnesium Fire Starter

Wool Socks

Food - MRE's and coast guard survival rations recommended.

Tent/Shelter - Should uphold to weather conditions and be light weight.

Sleeping Bags

LBE - Any good vest or belt.

Boots - Recommended you buy good quality, dont go cheap, actual combat boots issued to our troops are a good way to go.

Night Vision - Make sure it is at least 3rd generation.

Spare Weapons Parts - Learn what is most common to fail on your weapon and keep those parts on hand.

Sunblock - Only if in the right enviroment, no need to carry things you know you don't need. Make sure it is unscented.

Radio - Communication equipment

Hygiene gear - toothbrush/paste, soap, etc.
